  • The KODECET Conference is being organized under the aegis of the Knowledge Development for Circular Economy Transition (KODECET) project at the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH). The conference is part of the institute’s strategic effort to advance scholarship, innovation, and collaborative action in the fields of sustainability and the circular economy, aligning with global imperatives for responsible business and sustainable development.
  • The event will bring together academics, industry professionals, policymakers, and students to engage with cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary perspectives, and real-world practices that support circular thinking and responsible innovation. Hosted through the DIGI-SUSTEACH Centre — a dedicated platform established under the KODECET project — the conference aims to foster knowledge exchange, build capacity, and catalyse collaborative solutions to sustainability challenges faced by business and society.
  • The conference reflects BIMTECH’s commitment to embedding circular economy principles into education, research, and practice, empowering participants to integrate sustainable frameworks into managerial decision-making and organisational strategy.

Conference Theme

  • The KODECET International Conference, hosted by the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) through the DIGI-SUSTEACH Centre, seeks to chart actionable pathways for the circular economy that align research, policy, industry practice, and education. The conference will convene academics, industry leaders, policymakers, and civil society to interrogate core challenges in circular transitions and co-create innovative models that drive sustainable value creation across sectors.
  • The theme emphasises the integration of interdisciplinary inquiry, digital sustainability solutions, and stakeholder collaboration to generate scalable insights for sustainable business models, resource optimisation, and systems thinking. Building on BIMTECH’s institutional commitment to embed circular economy principles into education, research, and practice, the conference aims to catalyse knowledge exchange, strengthen partnerships, and support evidence-based strategies that accelerate the transition toward resilient and regenerative economies

Extended Abstracts

The conference invites proposals for organizing special tracks or sessions and encourages Research Networks and Special Interest Groups to send proposal. All accepted proposals will be presented on conference website for promotion from conference as well.

Overview of the DIGI-SUSTEACH Centre

The DIGI-SUSTEACH Centre at BIMTECH is a dedicated platform established under the KODECET project, designed to advance knowledge, innovation, and hands-on learning in the field of sustainability and circular economy. The Centre acts as a bridge between academic research and industry practice — fostering skills that empower future business leaders to integrate circular thinking and responsible innovation into real-world business solutions.

Vision

To position BIMTECH as a leading academic institution that shapes responsible, sustainability-focused business leaders by embedding circular economy concepts across teaching, research, and community engagement. The Centre envisions becoming a catalyst for change, encouraging industries and societies to adopt circular practices for a more resilient and regenerative future.

Mission

To inspire, educate, and empower students, faculty, and industry partners to embrace circular economy principles — driving sustainable business practices, innovation, and entrepreneurship through research, training, and collaboration.
